Top of the list is a holiday! Yes did you know a week for two in Cairo can cost as little as £200 and guess what you get to go too! Although be warned not all men like holidays! Mine doesn’t anymore after our last one.
We went to great expense to hire a villa in Majorca next to the sea, with a private pool and we both took our three kids, so yes that’s 8 of us in total. A 7 year old, an 8 year old, an 11 year old, a 13 year old, a 15 year old and a 19 year old.
Apart from the eldest none of them were ever happy all the time, one of them always wanted something, food, entertainment, this lilo, that blow up ball, the nice bathroom, etc, etc. As he works for himself and goes to his beautiful countryside offices each day he decided that compared to that his life is in fact one big holiday and so he doesn’t actually need to go ever again! Haha we’ll see!
So there are the so called red letter days or experience days that can be a one of the Christmas presents men enjoy where he can try something exciting like driving a Ferrari round a race track for the day, or something more serene such as going up in a hot air balloon, or even a helicopter flight, these are all great experiences, but you have to make sure you book them before the voucher expires!
I suspect this is where the companies must make unseen thousands from the unclaimed gifts, and/or the fees for purchasing an extension. Again make sure it’s Christmas presents men in your life will actually do though, the husband of a friend of mine has got a drawer full of unused experience days ranging from aeroplane flights to archery days because his mum buys him something every year thinking he’ll really enjoy it and all he wants to do is go fishing or play golf when he’s not at work so has never used one of them! She would have been as well to get him a voucher for the fishing bait shop!
Of course if you’re looking for Christmas presents men are unlikely to have seen before then you need to check out some of the online gadgetry shops such as ‘I want’ or ‘fire box’ as they have tons of random stuff that men don’t actually need but will probably keep them quite for a few hours and they list their products by price category so if you’re looking for a stocking filler you can select gifts from £5 – £10 etc.
Whilst thinking about writing this page though something sprang to mind a sly smile slowly spread across my face. Yes girls, if you think hard, really really hard you will know what is going through my mind because there is of course the holy grail of Christmas presents men love to receive for Christmas or on their birthday, but of course that is entirely up to you!
