If there are other men in the family, why not invite them too and let all the men have some time together without having to worry about what time they are going to be home, who’s going to bath the kids and read them a bedtime story.
Just tell him to meet you at the pub straight after work and invite his dad and all his men friends and then once you’ve had a couple leave em too it! You can bet they will have a great time and in the morning make him a big fat fry up and spell happy birthday on his plate with alpha bites.
Not your usual birthday gift but you can be sure it will be one of those birthday presents men remember for years to come. Of course, whilst they’re out at the pub you can invite your mates round and enjoy a bottle or two of wine and a good old natter!
OK so now for something totally different instead of a track day driving all those fast cars, why not get something for him that is at least marginally useful: skid pan training, one of the birthday presents men could actually find useful one of these days, seeing as they always insist on driving!
Skidpan training is similar to a track day but instead of razzing around in super cars they pop you in a standard Audi A4 with this funny frame around it with oversized shopping trolley wheels on it that simulates what happens to a car when it goes into a skid, and they teach you how to steer into it and control the skid so if it ever happens to you on the road then you are prepared so hopefully you will be able to steer the car through the skid and end up somewhere safely instead of in a ditch, it’s also great fun!
Personalised gifts are a great idea for birthday presents men will enjoy. Everyone loves to hear and see their own name, we’re all narcissists at the end of the day, and if it’s your birthday then you let yourself get away with it, even if it is just for one day.
There are literally hundreds of personalised gifts available on the market ranging from mugs and photo frames to gold balls and even pens, at least nobody will nick your personalised pen if it’s got your name on it.
Another way to boost the value and present potential of a personalised photo frame or key ring is to include a photograph of the two of you, or the kids or the whole family. Great if you are able to get a family photo taken on the sly some weeks of months before, that he has forgotten all about by the time his birthday comes around. Careful though, it might draw a tear or too if he’s just a big softie underneath!
